This blog post is a tribute.

If you’ve never heard of a man called Stephen Covey, then may I suggest you visit the site below.

The great Stephen Covey died today at 79.

No author had a greater influence on me than he. A great man. A brilliant thinker. And a true family man.

His teachings allowed me to wake up from my slumber as:

  • A frustrated employee
  • Someone who was fairly frustrated inside
  • Someone who was emotionally dependent on “external things” going right in order for me to feel happy –

… and start living the life of my dreams.

I’ve told tens of thousands of people who I’ve talked to in seminars around the world, to buy his books.

I’ve read and tried to apply his principles every day of my life since discovering “7 Habits Of Highly Effective People” in 1995.

So if you haven’t done so already, do yourself a favour and check out what he taught:

Respect to a great man.

And a sad day to lose someone so great, but few will leave a greater legacy than he.

Warmly
Brett
